Historian of political thought working across intellectual history, geopolitics, fascism studies, populism, and the conceptual history of civilizations. Writes in Italian, German, and English on the political uses of space, ideology, and historical narrative.
Appointed researcher at the University of Bari in 2002, associate professor in 2015, and full professor in January 2024. Currently Vice President of the European Society for the History of Political Thought and active in the Italian Association for the History of Political Thought.
Collaborates as editor with Erica Benner, Laszlo Kontler and Gaby Mahlberg to the Brill/De Gruzter series “History of European and Constitutional Thought” and with some of the main academic journals in the field of history of Political Thought, as Storia del pensiero politico.

Her scholarship moves across three interlocking lines of inquiry:
- Political space and geopolitics — Mitteleuropa, Großraum, imperial order, Friedrich Ratzel, Carl Schmitt, and the spatial imagination of the twentieth century.
- Fascism, the radical right, and populism — Julius Evola, Delio Cantimori, the Lega Nord, mass psychology, and the political uses of myth and memory.
- Civilization and historiography — conceptual histories of civilization, biopolitics, and the relation between intellectual history and present-day political languages.
